In an interview that was released in late June, an archaeologist claimed said that he had located the old Biblical location where Sodom once existed.
Dean of Archaeology at Trinity Southwest University Steven Collins told Rosenberg Report presenter Joel C. Rosenberg that his group thinks the Tell el-Hammam site in Jordan has many of the characteristics of Sodom.
According to reports, the location is littered with Bronze-age artifacts that appear to have been melted in a “flash heat” scenario, correlating with how Sodom was destroyed in the Bible.
According to earlier studies about the location, a meteor strike wrecked the region some 4,000 years ago.
A report published in Nature claims that although this disaster has not yet been verified, evidence points to a “charcoal-rich destruction layer” and a number of melted artifacts.
For instance, Lot walked eastward when he was at Bethel and Ai, according to Genesis 13:10. To the east of Bethel and Ai is Tall el-Hammam.
