Helen Smart, a former Olympic swimmer for Great Britain in Sydney in 2000, has now reportedly passed away at the age of 43.
The deceased professional swimmer was a school principal at the time of her death and had also won bronze in the 1998 Commonwealth Games in Kuala Lumpur.
Although the reason of Smart’s death is now unknown, his loved ones have characterized it as “sudden.”

After winning the British backstroke title in the late 1990s, Smart, who was then known by her maiden name Don-Duncan, established herself in the swimming community.
She participated in the women’s 50-meter backstroke and 200-meter backstroke events at the Summer Games in 2000 when she was 19 years old.
