According to Bob Barker’s death certificate, he reportedly passed away on August 26 at the age of 99 due to Alzheimer’s disease.
Although Barker had kept his Alzheimer’s disease a secret, the death certificate showed that he passed away “Years” after receiving a diagnosis.
How long the adored game show host battled the illness before passing away is yet unknown.
Throughout his time in the spotlight, Barker actively promoted animal rights and was a steadfast supporter of PETA.
He had also been a vegan for well over 40 years, and he has openly advocated that eliminating meat could lower the risk of developing brain diseases like Alzheimer’s.
Over the previous few years, Barker experienced more health problems, including many falls that necessitated medical treatment, according to the site.
In 2018, he battled multiple skin cancer diagnoses and underwent hospitalization for back problems.
Barker was best known for his work as the host of CBS’s “The Price Is Right” and for his encouragement of the participants.
