Rock icon Eric Clapton reportedly assisted Democratic presidential contender Robert F. Kennedy Jr. on Tuesday in raising $2.2 million for his 2024 campaign.
The announcement was made by RFK Jr. via Instagram, and he added that he was “deeply grateful” to Clapton “for bringing his musical artistry and rebellious spirit” to a meeting held in Los Angeles.
He included a picture of himself and Clapton in the message, and the latter was beaming.
Clapton is the most recent in a long line of famous people and business leaders to support RFK Jr., who is now polling at about 12 percent in the Democratic primary.
