Steve Buscemi, a veteran actor, was allegedly assaulted while strolling through Manhattan on Wednesday.
The outlet states that Buscemi, 66, sustained facial injuries as a result of the attack.
The incident, which transpired shortly before noon, allegedly resulted in left eye injuries for the actor. New York Police Department (NYPD) officers discovered Buscemi injured at the scene; he was transported to a hospital for treatment, where his condition was reportedly stable, according to the outlet.

According to police sources, the suspect escaped the scene and is still missing.
According to the source, after conducting an investigation, the NYPD released surveillance images of the alleged assailant, which showed a grizzled man wearing dark sweatpants, a baseball cap, and a blue T-shirt.
His publicist stated that the assault on Buscemi appears to have been an arbitrary act of violence, as reported by the outlet.
