The feud between Jason Aldean and Maren Morris has done something rarely seen in country music… it has gone public.
Aldean, who has seen his share of controversies has now been dropped by his PR firm , GreenRoom PR.
The split comes after Aldean’s wife wrote on social media, MSN reports:
“I’d really like to thank my parents for not changing my gender when I went through my tomboy phase. I love this girly life,” as the caption to an Instagram video where she displayed a full face of makeup to her 2.3 million followers. Jason Aldean commented with the cry-laughing emoji: “Lmao!! Im glad they didn’t too, cause you and I wouldn’t have worked out.”
The post drew criticism and open criticism from Morris, who called Aldean’s wife an “insurrection barbie.”
The reference comes from the Aldean’s open support for former President Donald Trump.
To make matters worse the dropping of Aldean by GreenRoom PR was publicly announced. Country music usually keeps these sorts of things under wraps.
PR firms and country stars part ways all the time, but the difference is it is usually kept quiet.
Aldean however, seems to be doing fine. He just sold his music catalog for a whopping $100 million.
