The co-hosts of “The View” praised Republican Georgia Sen. Herschel Walker’s concession speech after he was defeated in Tuesday’s runoff election by his Democratic opponent, incumbent Sen. Raphael Warnock.
Walker lost the runoff campaign as Warnock won around 51.4% of the vote while Walker received only 48.6% with more than 95% of the ballots tabulated.
Over 3.5 million ballots were cast in Georgia, with only about 95,000 votes separating the two contenders.
After his loss, Walker offered an unexpectedly optimistic concession address to a gathering of supporters after many outlets called the race in favor of Warnock.
Walker went on to ask his listeners “believe” in America and the Constitution.
Sunny Hostin, co-host, went on to claim that the results are another huge setback for Trump, who supported Walker in the Republican primaries.
She then accused Republicans of attempting to play “identity politics,” going on to call Walker’s campaign an “insult” to her as a black woman.
