Renowned comedian Mike Epps is being investigated after airport officials allegedly discovered a loaded rifle in his suitcase on Sunday at Indianapolis International Airport according to a new report from TMZ.
According to legal records, security employees noticed the loaded pistol as Epps passed through the checkpoint and immediately phoned for help.
Epps was questioned about the firearm and stated it was an unintentional error and oversight on his part.
The famed comedian said he was in town for a gig and had entirely forgotten about the pistol in his suitcase.

The found firearm was a.38 Special AirWeight revolver with four bullets loaded.
The firearm and ammo were brought into police custody and are now being held as evidence.
The police report has been sent to the Marion County Prosecutor’s office, which will evaluate whether Epps will face criminal charges in connection with this event.
