According to Fox 13, a former Olympian skier was reportedly discovered dead on Wednesday in his cell.
According to reports, Jeremy Nobis, 52, was discovered unattended and all by himself at the Iron Correctional Institution in Cedar City, Utah.
Fox 13 reports that Nobis allegedly failed to show up in court via video conference following a 2019 DUI charge out of Iron County, Utah, resulting in an arrest warrant.
Nobis was detained by the authorities in February 2023.
Nobis placed tenth in the giant slalom competition at the Lillehammer Winter Olympics in 1994.
Following the Olympics in 1994, he experimented with new styles of skiing.
According to reports, the former Olympic skier had a reputation for living a “wild” lifestyle, which included four claimed instances of driving while intoxicated and another instance of allegedly being involved in a high-speed chase.
