The 46-year-old “MasterChef Australia” host Jock Zonfrillo reportedly passed away on Sunday.
The acclaimed Scottish chef passed away unexpectedly in Melbourne.
In a statement, his family acknowledged Zonfrillo’s demise.
It will take a long time to accept the world is without Jock Zonfrillo. His vibrant personality, humour, zest for life & food injected such joy into MasterChef & enlivened Australian television. Originally scheduled to premiere in the first week of May, the new season of the cookery program series has been delayed.
Zonfrillo became a judge for the franchise program in 2019, which helped it keep first place in Australia’s television ratings. At the age of 15, he began his culinary career as an apprentice in kitchens.
He leaves behind his wife and four children.
