Fmr Star NFL Quarterback Dead

Posted on May 9, 2023

The venerable NFL quarterback Joe Kapp reportedly passed away on Monday at the age of 85 after a protracted battle with dementia, according to his son J.J.

During the 1969 season, the former Vikings standout is renowned for guiding the club to an NFL Championship and Super Bowl participation.

He became well known and respected for his bold, passionate, and audacious moves in the game.

On the field, Kapp showed off his superior athleticism by going at defensive players rather than trying to avoid them.

His family thinks his struggles with Alzheimer’s were brought on by the brutal intensity he had to face while participating in the sport.

Kapp served as the Lions’ general manager, the head coach of Arena Football’s Sacramento Attack, and one of the 50 best players in Vikings history.
