According to authorities, six masked males are reportedly accused of robbing at least one Cleveland Browns player on Monday while another player had his car broken into over the weekend.
After exiting a well-known Cleveland nightclub in the early morning hours, at least one player was targeted.
The masked suspects allegedly held the player at gunpoint as they approached the player’s parked truck, seizing both the truck and valuables in the process.
ESPN said that according to team sources, cornerback Greg Newsom, who owned the truck, was one of the players.
There were rumors that another player had also been robbed.
The two athletes were unhurt.
Despite having a GPS monitoring device, the truck was driving so quickly that it was impossible to intercept it.
