In a Sunday interview with Page Six, Chris Pratt reportedly revealed that his Christian faith helps him deal with his critics.
During a Cinema Society screening of Marvel Studios’ Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Pratt spoke to the New York Post about the long history of the reaction against him.
Pratt has long been vocal about his religious convictions and has been accused of homophobia in the past for supposedly visiting the contentious Hillsong Church.
He emphasized the Bible scriptures that support him in handling criticism and said that his faith in Jesus Christ helps him disregard hostility.
“If I was of this world, they would love me just like that but as it is, I’ve chosen out of this world. That’s John 15:18 through 20,” Pratt noted.
“That’s the way it is, nothing new, 2,000 years ago they hated him, too,” he continued.
