Police also note in the records that a lady, claiming to be Hernandez’s ex, claimed to have given him permission to use her car to travel to a court appointment on July 7. But he is said to have attended both Brown University and UConn instead of actually appearing in court.
Later that day, when police arrived to Hernandez’s house, a standoff between Hernandez and police started, according to the police records.
Hernandez was then tasered by police, falling to the ground, at which point they arrested him and brought him to a nearby hospital for assessment.
He apparently continued to threaten others while there.
Hernandez was brought into the Bristol Police Department after being discharged from the hospital and was given a charge of threatening and disturbing the peace. His bail had been set at $250,000.
