According to People, on October 8 officers from the Burbank Police Department detained well-known comedian Jeff Dye in connection with a single traffic accident.
Police charged Dye with evading the scene of a collision and impaired driving.
In the vicinity of Pass Avenue and Alameda Avenue at about 9:30 a.m., officers responded to reports of a single-vehicle collision, according to Sgt. Stephen Turner, public information officer for Burbank Police.

After examining the site, the police went in search of the car’s driver.
The comedian and television host of “Who the BLEEP Is That?” was arrested and taken to the Burbank Detention Center.
