It appears that Conor McGregor, the MMA champion, has now reportedly declared his candidacy for the position of President of Ireland in the 2025 election.
On September 5, McGregor published a post on X that outlined the reasons why he would be the most suitable candidate for the position.
“These charlatans in their positions of power would be summoned to answer to the people of Ireland and I would have it done by day end. Or I would be left with no choice but to dissolve the Dáil entirely. Stop the train until. The people of Ireland deserve the answers they seek. Point blank,” Mcgregor wrote.
McGregor then proceeded to hint at the possibility of representing the citizens of his country and recited his apparent political ambitions in the event that he were elected President.
This is the first instance in which the MMA star has presumably suggested a presidential run, despite his previous outspokenness regarding his political beliefs.
