A former professional Arena Football player in Michigan was arrested on Monday night after an alleged armed standoff with police, according to FOX2.
A man named Jonathan McCall reportedly barricaded himself, along with his wife and two children, inside his residence for an extended period of time as law enforcement authorities worked to peacefully resolve the situation.
McCall, a former football player at Central Michigan and a seven-year veteran of the Arena Football League (AFL), gained attention for his battle with Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE), a brain condition associated with head injuries.

Upon entering McCall’s residence, law enforcement reportedly discovered him wearing a bulletproof vest. They proceeded to utilize a taser on him and seize several long guns that he had purportedly obtained in the recent past.
