Brian Steel, the attorney for Young Thug, is purportedly being held in criminal contempt of court by Judge Ural Glanville.
On Monday, he was sentenced to 10 weekends in the Fulton County Jail.
According to reports, Steel will be incarcerated for 20 days following a confrontation with Glanville regarding an alleged covert meeting that took place in chambers with prosecutors and one of the state’s most prominent witnesses.
Glanville instructed Steel to disclose the source that had informed him of the purported meeting and warned him that failure to comply would result in contempt.
However, Steel declined to disclose the method by which he acquired information regarding the private conversation.
Steele contended that the alleged meeting involved the improper coercion of a sworn witness.
Thugs lawyer has been sentenced to 10 weekends in jail (20 days).
He asks that (if the appeal doesn’t get him a bond) he is allowed to spend those weekends in jail with Young Thug, and the Judge agrees.

However, Glanville ignored the allegation and repeatedly demanded to know who spoke to Steele about the meeting in his chambers.
Steel refused to disclose the information and focused on the meeting itself as the primary concern.
Steel further stated that he had been informed that the witness, Kenneth Copeland, who is better known by his rap name, Young Thug, had been pressured by prosecutors and the judge to testify.
He was threatened with an extended prison sentence if he did not comply.
Glanville ordered Steel’s arrest following an extended conversation. He informed the magistrate that Young Thug did not wish to continue in his absence.
