The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office reportedly announced on Facebook that former NFL quarterback Ryan Mallet passed away on Tuesday at the age of 35 following what seemed to be a drowning in Florida.
Mallet was brought from a beach to a Florida hospital where he was declared dead, according to officials. Mallet had been the head football coach for the White Hall school district in Arkansas since February 2021.
Mallett, a highly sought-after high school recruit, started his undergraduate career in 2007 at the University of Michigan before moving to the University of Arkansas.
