On Tuesday, boxing champion Gervonta Davis was reportedly detained in Florida for domestic abuse.
According to documents, the boxer, known to fans as “Tank,” was hauled to Broward County prison and is being held on a battery charge, according to TMZ.
The altercation apparently occurred around 1:25 p.m. at a Parkland property, and the boxing star remains in police custody as of Wednesday afternoon.

According to the site, the 28-year-old singer has a past domestic violence accusation from 2020.
Davis was arrested and jailed on a domestic violence battery charge approximately an hour after the alleged incident. According to jail records, he is still in police custody.
Davis is due to fight Hector Luis Garcia on Jan. 7 in a highly anticipated contest in Washington, D.C., and it is unknown whether the current allegation would effect the impending fight.
