Ben & Jerry’s issued an appeal for Americans to return “stolen indigenous land” in a letter published on their website on July 4.
According to the statement, the Vermont-based ice cream firm decided to honor the Fourth of July by urging Americans to “take action” and pledge to giving back “stolen land” to indigenous peoples.

The corporation, as well as the founders of the company, have always supported left-wing causes.
According to their website, Ben & Jerry’s often supports causes including the Green New Deal, LGBTQ rights, defunding for the police, and the impeachment of former President Donald Trump.
The company’s founders, Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield, endorsed Bernie Sanders’ 2016 and 2020 presidential bids.
