Joe Rogan, a comedian and podcaster, reportedly sent a stern warning to his fans on Monday night, informing them about the recent decision made by the state of Colorado to bring back wolves to the state.
Rogan stated that his friend’s neighbors “spotted the wolves on the prowl” while publishing a photo of a mutilated elk body part that he claims appeared to have originated from his friend’s ranch located close to Aspen, Colorado.
Additionally, the podcaster stated that the authorities did not even bother to warn his friend, it was disclosed by Rogan that his friend owns livestock on his property.
It would appear that Rogan is completely opposed to the concept.
“I’m a fan of wolves, and all wildlife, but I think ballot box biology is a terrible idea. Most of these people all gung ho for the reintroduction have no idea what they’ve voted for,” Rogan wrote.
After voters adopted a 2020 ballot issue that some officials said aids in “restoring ecological balance,” Colorado wildlife agents started reintroducing gray wolves they had caught in Oregon into Colorado in December 2023.
Nine sheep and at least 15 cattle have been killed by wolves since the effort began.
