The initial installment of Kevin Costner’s passion project, “Horizon: An American Saga,” will reportedly now be removed from theaters in late July due to its catastrophic failure.
Costner’s circumstances continue to deteriorate due to his decision to stake his reputation and over $30 million of his own money on the success of his film franchise “Horizon.”
The initial installment of the four-part saga was not only a complete failure at the box office, but it also made history as one of the first major film franchises to transition entirely to streaming.
The film was released on June 28 and has already been removed from the majority of theaters.
“Horizon” generated a mere $28.8 million in the United States and a mere $2.1 million internationally.
