According to a business that produces software for recording orders, Bud Light is reportedly currently the fourth most popular beer served in pubs and restaurants.
In the 1,100 “high-volume venues” that make use of Union’s platform, the Anheuser-Busch brand was previously the most popular beer. But Miller Lite, Michelob Ultra, and Coors Light outsold Bud Light in the second quarter of 2023, from April to June.
According to Union’s statistics, which was published in its most recent OnPrem Insights report, sales of Bud Light decreased the most in South Carolina, North Carolina, and Texas. California saw the least amount of devastation.
According to Michel Doukeris, the CEO of Anheuser-Busch International, the fall in Bud Light sales accounted for around 1% of the company’s overall worldwide sales volume in May.
Bud Light’s sales share decreased by 34% from the second quarter of 2022 to the second quarter of 2023, according to Union.
As a result, it dropped from first to fourth in terms of popularity at Union’s pubs and eateries. Dos Equis, Corona, Guinness, Modelo, Stella Artois, and Yuengling round out the top 10 beers.
