A woman from Brooklyn was taken into custody subsequent to the discovery of a severed skull and numerous body parts in her refrigerator.
According to sources, Heather Stines, 45, was arrested on Monday night after police received a report about the grisly discovery.
Stines is not a charged individual. Whoever the body fragments belong to is unknown; DNA testing is currently underway. The body parts have reportedly been removed from the apartment.
The 7:10 p.m. dispatch to the apartment on Nostrand Avenue in Brooklyn was confirmed by the NYPD. Officers discovered an unidentified male who was incapacitated and unresponsive within the apartment upon their arrival.
‘EMS responded and at the site pronounced the assisted deceased,’ according to a statement from the NYPD.
The cause of death will be ascertained by the medical examiner, while the investigation continues.
