A civil lawsuit filed on Sunday reportedly accused Jay-Z, a billionaire impresario and hip-hop superstar, of drugging and raping a 13-year-old girl with Sean “Diddy” Combs.
The allegations against Jay-Z, whose actual name is Shawn Carter, are related to the extensive list of legal claims against Combs.
Combs is currently facing federal sex trafficking and racketeering charges, as well as numerous civil cases and accusations of sexual misconduct.
One of the lawsuits, which was filed in October, alleges that Combs, along with an anonymous celebrity named “Celebrity A,” sexually assaulted an adolescent girl at an afterparty that took place in New York City following the 2000 MTV Video Music Awards.
The suit was amended on Sunday to identify Carter as the celebrity in question.
An unnamed female celebrity is alleged to have stood by and observed as Combs and Carter alternated in assaulting the minor, according to the 21-page complaint filed in the Southern District of New York.
In a statement posted to the Instagram account of his Roc Nation entertainment company on Sunday, Carter denied the allegations detailed in the civil suit and urged his accuser to submit a criminal complaint.
The accuser had visited Radio City Music Hall in Manhattan with the intention of obtaining admission to the VMAs, which were being held there.
She conversed with numerous limousine drivers who were awaiting her outside after she was unable to pass through security.
According to the complaint, one chauffeur claimed to be employed by Combs and extended an invitation to her to attend his afterparty.
Tony Buzbee, her attorney, stated in the complaint that she was required to execute a nondisclosure agreement prior to entering the party during her arrival.
According to the complaint, the accuser is of the opinion that she was drugged prior to the assault, which occurred in a private room adjacent to the main celebration.
Combs has been the subject of numerous civil lawsuits that allege sexual assault and drugging, with some of the cases involving juveniles.
Combs was accused by the Manhattan U.S. attorney’s office in September with operating a long-standing sex-trafficking enterprise.
He was accused by prosecutors of coercing victims into participating in daylong sex gatherings that he referred to as “freak offs.” According to prosecutors, his victims were drugged, and some were concerned about losing his financial support if they declined to participate.
