Selena Gomez Tells Story of Childhood Trauma

During a Vogue interview for her upcoming documentary, former Disney star Selena Gomez discussed the pressures of being a child star.

Gomez discussed her vulnerability as a young star, as well as the unrelenting expectations that seemed impossible for her young self to deal with.

She recalled a scene in the documentary that highlighted how uneasy she felt being surrounded by people in her dressing room, with so much emphasis on her physical appearance.

She then expressed her appreciation for the healing process she had undergone.

According to Vogue, the documentary covers the last six years of Gomez’ life and includes details about her experiences on tour, as well as her 2019 mental breakdown and subsequent bipolar diagnosis.
