On October 13, Adam Wylie, the erstwhile child star from “Picket Fences,” was apparently cited by Burbank Police for petty theft.
At a nearby Target, a member of the loss prevention team noticed Wylie removing many health and beauty products from a display shelf, placing them in his shopping cart, and then heaping additional things on top.
According to reports, the celebrity was observed scanning several goods at the self-checkout counter but neglected to scan and pay for them all.
Wylie was allegedly stopped by a member of the store’s security team as soon as he ventured outside carrying the unpaid goods after they saw him pushing the cart toward the exit.
After conducting additional investigation, the security representative calculated that the unpaid items that were collected but not scanned had a total worth of $108.
The Burbank Police were called as a result, and they arrived at the store to assess the evidence and have a conversation with all individuals concerned.
Police ultimately issued a citation to Wylie for minor larceny, but they did not make an arrest of the celebrity there.
