Wednesday night, renowned American guitarist Al Di Meola reportedly suffered a heart attack while performing in Romania.
The accomplished musician was performing at a venue in Bucharest at 9 p.m. when he began showing signs of distress.
Photographer Dragos Cristescu reportedly witnessed the 69-year-old performer clasp his bosom and then struggle to leave the stage.

The two remaining band members continued to perform for a few minutes after the award-winning guitarist left the stage. As soon as they learned of the severity of the situation, they canceled the concert.
The outlet reported that Di Meola was confined to the cardiology ward at the Bagdasar-Arseni emergency hospital, citing a hospital statement.
The celebrity is undergoing treatment for a myocardial infarction with segmental elevation (STEMI).
