MMA Star Anthony ‘Rumble’ Johnson Dead at Age 38

Anthony ‘Rumble’ Johnson, a former UFC champion, has died.

He was 38 years old at the time. According to TMZ, Johnson died over the weekend.

The former UFC fighter reportedly passed away this weekend after battling an undisclosed disease he’s apparently been dealing with for quite a while.

His death was announced on Twitter by the Bellator MMA promotion firm, which he joined in 2021.

Johnson, nicknamed “Rumble” inside the cage, competed for the UFC light heavyweight championship twice, first in May 2015 and once in April 2017. He was defeated by submission in both matches. The latter clash ended up being his final fight in the UFC. He had been away from combat for almost four years.
