Patti Yasutake, who was most renowned for her role in “Star Trek: The Next Generation,” passed away on Monday at the age of 70. She had been battling cancer.
Kyle Fritz, Yasutake’s manager and acquaintance, confirmed her passing, stating that she passed away peacefully in the presence of her loved ones.
Yasutake’s career, which spanned three decades, concluded on a high note with her final appearance in the highly acclaimed limited series “Beef.”

Yasutake’s portrayal of Nurse Alyssa Ogawa in “Star Trek: The Next Generation” was subsequently reimagined in “Star Trek Generations.”
The renowned actress was nominated for a Supporting Actress award at the Independent Spirit Awards in 1988 for her performance in the film “The Wash.”
